How to Respec Knights in Warhammer 40K Chaos Gate
Respeccing works a little differently in Chaos Gate, and you won’t even get the opportunity until you’re quite a bit into the game. Essentially, you’ll need the proper facility onboard your ship and one particular resource, a dead Grey Knight. We’ll go over the facilities first.
The facility you need is the Statis Chamber, which is found under the Apothecarion section of the Mechanicum. H
In order to unlock the Stasis Chamber, you’ll first need to upgrade the Plasma Reactor to Improved Reactor Output 1, which requires 6 Servitors. Servitors are most easily gained by completing missions, and even for the most basic of missions, you’ll generally receive around 20 Servitors.
Once you’ve upgraded your Plasma Reactor you can start building the Stasis Chamber, which costs another 6 Servitors and takes 12 days.
Respeccing a knight requires the use of one dead Grey Knight that you have in storage. Unfortunately, the only way to put a dead Grey Knight in storage is to actually lose one of your party members during a mission. That’s right, you won’t be able to respec a knight without another one dying.
Because of the nature of Chaos Gate you’re likely not going to willingly sacrifice one of your own characters, but if you do happen to lose someone they can at least be put to use once you have the Stasis Chamber.
To actually go through with a respec you’ll head to the Barracks and select the knight you want and open up their ability screen. On the bottom you’ll see a “Commune” option, so click on it. This will bring up a new screen that lets you choose to gain new ability points, or reallocate all existing ones.
